Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger inspires action during his Intel Vision 2024 Keynote

Pat Gelsinger's keynote during Intel Vision 2024 was music to my ears.  When a CEO openly says "technology should deliver choice and competition" and "we don't build technology for the fun of it, but to heighten businesses to new levels" you get my attention.

In Gelsinger's words “Intel is on a mission to bring AI everywhere.” Intel is joining other tech giants in the era of embracing AI. Gelsinger considers AI to be the most exciting in technology history since the internet was invented. I could not agree more.

The takeaway of the keynote: To generate value with Intel AI Solutions and take action now. Intel outlined its strategy for open scalable AI systems, its approach enables a broad, open ecosystem of AI players to offer solutions that satisfy enterprise-specific GenAI needs.

But why is Open Scalable AI so important now?

Open and scalable AI is crucial for democratizing access to artificial intelligence technologies while ensuring their adaptability and transparency. By being open, AI systems make their underlying algorithms, models, and datasets accessible to a wide range of users fostering collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing. As a result of openness, researchers, developers, businesses, and individuals are able to leverage AI for a wide range of purposes, from scientific studies to practical applications.

For example, scalable AI systems can efficiently process and analyze terabytes or even petabytes of data, enabling organizations to extract valuable insights and make data-driven decisions. These systems can also handle complex machine learning models trained on massive datasets, allowing for more accurate predictions and improved performance in various applications such as image recognition, natural language processing, and recommendation systems.

Open scalable AI empowers a diverse community of users to leverage artificial intelligence effectively while promoting transparency, accountability, and innovation. By combining openness with scalability, AI technologies can reach their full potential in addressing a wide range of challenges and opportunities in various fields, ultimately benefiting society as a whole.

Intel is a frontrunner in AI solutions, leveraging its expertise in hardware and software to drive innovation. At the heart of its offerings is the Intel® AI portfolio, comprising hardware accelerators, software frameworks, and tools tailored for AI workloads. Intel's CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, and specialized accelerators.

For example, during the keynote we saw the latest Intel XEON Scalable processors

Intel's software ecosystem is equally robust, with optimized libraries like Intel® Math Kernel Library for deep learning, and frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch seamlessly integrated for accelerated performance. Its OpenVINO™ toolkit facilitates deployment across a range of Intel architectures, ensuring scalability and efficiency in AI deployments.

Intel collaborates extensively with industry partners and academia to advance AI research and application across domains like healthcare, finance, and autonomous systems. Through initiatives like the Intel AI Builders program, it fosters an ecosystem of developers and solution providers, accelerating AI adoption globally.

The bottom line, Intel's comprehensive AI solutions, spanning hardware, software, and collaborative ecosystems, position it as one of the leaders leader driving the evolution of AI across industries.

And here is the call to action: As Gelsinger said, it is time to look at your upgrade cycles, they need to be done now.Take action today!

With top tech leaders across the board, no enterprise has an excuse to partner up with whom they think fits best for them.

My advice, do your research, set up some meetings, choose the right partners and implement sooner rather than later.
