Tech highlight: Let's talk about Network Digital Map

During Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2023, I was able to talk with Mr. Wang Hui, President of Huawei NCE Data Communication Domain.

In this role, he is responsible for managing end-to-end business strategy, operations, and R&D of the Huawei ADN (Autonomous Driving Network) solution for the data communication domain, including network management and control systems, SDN orchestrator, and technical service tools.

Mr. Wang Hui has more than 15 years of professional experience in the data communication domain, took charge of the NCE Data Center Product, NCE Campus Product, Digital Services, and other products, and successfully built the industry's first L3.5 enterprise autonomous driving network (ADN) solution.

Behind the tech and solutions created thanks to innovation, are people like Mr. Wang Hui, developing areas that are critical in the tech world.

In this video, Mr. Wang Hui shares some of his knowledge about Network Digital Maps.

A network digital map, also known as a network map or network topology map, is a graphical representation of a computer network. It shows how different devices and systems in a network are interconnected and how data flows between them.

Network digital maps are used by network administrators and IT professionals to monitor and manage their networks, troubleshoot problems, and plan changes or upgrades to the network infrastructure. They can also be used to visualize network traffic patterns, identify potential bottlenecks, and improve network performance.

A network digital map can be created manually using software tools or automatically generated by network monitoring software. The map typically includes information such as IP addresses, device names, network protocols, and network traffic flows.

Huawei is the first one to introduce digital maps into the network world, which is unique in the industry.

Huawei network digital map supports the big data engine, implementing the real-time analysis of millions of network paths. In addition, knowledge-driven digital twins and intelligent cloud map algorithms realize intelligent optimization for network paths and ensure the best experience for terminals, users, and applications.

Huawei's network digital map is dedicated to building an intelligent and agile network world and enabling the digital transformation of thousands of industries.

Let's continue discovering how technology and innovation can help businesses be more intelligent, efficient, and productive.
